Star Field’s Talati selected to the national cricket team for world event
03/08/22 Nairobi, Kenya
Star Field’s left-arm orthodox spinner Yash Talati has been picked to represent the Kenya national men’s cricket team in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League B round three event scheduled to take place in the English Channel island of Jersey from 4th to 14th August, 2022.
Many Kenyan cricketers have been blessed with dream starts to their careers and Talati hopes that he follows in the footsteps of those that had great starts and that his star continues to shine.
The importance of beginning an endeavour for Talati couldn’t be stressed upon more. They say that well begun is half done and this saying holds true in the world of sports too. In the cricketing world, from the moment a new player steps onto the pitch wearing the national colours for the first time, the eyes of the whole country are fixed on him.
The Star Field prodigy hopes to be Kenya’s premier bowler for many years to come and he couldn’t have asked for a better first class debut in a tournament that will have live streaming through the ICC App to the masses across the world to follow the action against the likes of hosts Jersey, fellow European campaigners Italy, Asian giants Hong Kong, Americas representatives Bermuda and a derby against neighbours Uganda.
Talati will be keen to perform well in the upcoming tournament especially against the more established players within the team set up. He will have stiff competition in the spin bowling department with the likes of skipper Shem Ngoche and Vraj Patel in the
line-up.
